Our History

Three score and a decade ago the Saintly Bishop of Quilon,Founder of school Rt. Rev. Dr. Jerome M. Fernandez Rt. Rev. Dr. Jerome M. Fernandez invoked the light of Infant Jesus into the formation of an educational institution 'Infant Jesus Anglo-Indian School' to cater to the educational needs of the masses, particularly to those of the Anglo-Indian Community among whose residences the school is situated at Tangasseri. The historic Tangasseri, replenished by the rich touches of the Dutch, the Portuguese and the English settlements, houses the school that bears, in a wider sense, the glory of the West and the East.

The Infant Jesus Anglo Indian Boys School was established in 1940 by the visionary and saintly Bishop Jerome M. Fernandez , to cater to the education of the Anglo Indian Community, the then predominant community of the area.

Academic

Generally admissions are done for LKG, UKG, Std . I & Std. II. However, in certain exceptional cases admissions are sanctioned to other classes also. Registration for LKG, UKG and other classes starts in October. Admission for the registered candidates in April.
On Your Mark ( LKG - UKG )
The “on your mark” section of the School. The starting point of a long journey of academic race. Like a rivulet that runs tirelessly to join the distant ocean, IJHSS kids, start a tenacious academic flow all through their life.
Get Set ( I - IX )
Classes from I to VIII form the preparatory stage of learning. Students are given adequate foundation in all subjects along with co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Go ( X - XII )
At this stage, students pass out of the campus, full fledged, in gaiety with confidence and optimism. It is a long cherished dream come true, for parents, students and teachers.
